Volunteering

Mullumbimby and District Neighbourhood Centre recognises the valuable contribution to the service made by volunteers and actively encourages their participation because it:

  • enables volunteers to contribute to their community;
  • provides the opportunity for work experience and the development of new skills in volunteers;
  • enhances the range of services available through Mullumbimby and District Neighbourhood Centre
  • allows for wider community participation in the service.

The types of Volunteer Work available at the Mullumbimby and District Neighbourhood centre include

  • Drop In Centre Volunteers
  • Soup Kitchen Volunteers
  • Reception and Information Volunteers
  • Emergency Relief Volunteers
  • Car Pool Bulletin Board Administration Volunteers

The Mullumbimby and District Neighbourhood Centre Management values the support and efforts of volunteers and therefore has a clear commitment to appropriately recruiting, managing and utilising their time and skill

The Mullumbimby and District Neighbourhood Centre has a volunteer program which is managed by the Volunteer Coordinator

To apply to be a volunteer please either telephone the
Neighbourhood Centre on 6684 1286
between 10am and 4pm Monday to Thursday
or call in to see the
Volunteer Coordinator at the Mullumbimby and District Neighbourhood Centre,
55 Dalley Street,
Mullumbimby on Wednesdays between 10am and 4pm.
