Women’s Resources

The Women’s Resource Service is located at the Mullumbimby and District Neighbourhood Centre, 55 Dalley Street , Mullumbimby.
The Service is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 5pm.

The Women's Resource Service aims to:

  • provide free and confidential information and referral for women and their children
  • empower and assist women towards self-sufficiency and well-being in the community
  • actively address issues affecting women in the community

The Women's Resource Service is open to:
all women in the Byron Shire, 16 years and over. ATSI women, lesbians, disabled women, women from non-English speaking backgrounds, young women – all women are welcomed at the service.

The Women's Resource Service can provide:

  • information, support and referral on any matters relating to domestic violence, women's health, relationship issues, family or workplace matters.
  • Women are entitled to three free counselling appointments per year, enabling time to explore issues of importance and reflect on what strategies may be useful for enhanced emotional health and safety.
  • Following these appointments, we can also assist with referrals to other counsellors, psychologists and mental health workers.
